Rushing river with rocky banks and grassy hills under a cloudy sky

Where it begins

It starts with rain on the hills.

Not water from a tap, our water that starts as rain on the wild hills of the Brecon Beacons, moving slowly downward through meadowsweet and bilberry, carving its way through the darkest crevices of Wales, through her caves, tunnels and ancient rock, picking up the minerals of the landscape as it goes.

By the time we collect it, deep within the Dan yr Ogof cave system, it has taken on the character of everything it has passed through. It carries something of this place in every drop.

That water is at the heart of everything we make.

The people behind it

A mother & two daughters. Based on our farm in Crai, Powys.

Cascave was born over a gin & tonic, as the best ideas often are, out of a shared love for this landscape and a conviction that it deserved to be in a bottle. Every gin we make begins and ends here.

We are a small, family-run business and we are proud of that. It means that every decision, from the botanicals we choose to the water we collect, is made by people who genuinely care about the result.

We are passionate about championing Welsh produce, collaborating with fellow makers, and creating something that reflects this region honestly. Not a version of Wales. Wales itself.
