Cascave Gin is a premium Welsh gin brand based on a family farm in Crai, Powys, on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Founded and run by a mother and two daughters, we produce three award-winning small-batch gins - Cave Aged Gin, Stormy Gin and Premium Dry Gin, each made with mineral-rich water hand-collected from the Dan yr Ogof cave system.

Cave aged gin is a spirit that has been matured underground in oak casks rather than in a traditional warehouse. Our Cave Aged Gin spends 180 days in port-seasoned oak barrels deep within the Dan yr Ogof cave system in the Brecon Beacons, at a constant temperature of 10°C. The cool, consistent conditions develop exceptional smoothness and complexity over time, producing a naturally amber gin unlike anything else on the market.

Cascave is the only gin in Wales - and one of gin in the World - to be cave aged underground. Our Cave Aged Gin is hand-carried into the Angel Passageway of the Dan yr Ogof cave system and matured in port-seasoned oak barrels for 180 days. We also use mineral-rich water hand-collected directly from the caves in every gin we make, giving each bottle a genuine connection to this specific landscape.

Our Cave Aged Gin has won a Great Taste Award and been recognised at the World Gin Awards with a Silver medal. Our Stormy Gin was chosen as Craft Gin Club’s Gin of the Month in January 2024. We have also received recognition at the Wales Distilled Awards and the Wales Prestige Awards.

Yes. We run 90-minute guided gin tasting experiences on our family farm in Crai, Powys, hosted by one of our co-founders. Groups of 6 to 12 guests can taste all three of our award-winning gins and hear the full Cascave story. Dan yr Ogof is part of the National Showcaves Centre for Wales, one of the most extensive cave systems in the UK and a Site of Special Scientific Interest in the Brecon Beacons. Our Cave Aged Gin is aged in the Angel Passageway, deep within the system, with the kind permission and generous support of the Price family who manage the National Showcaves Centre.
