OUR STORY
Cascave Gin explores the secret journey our Welsh waters takes, spilling down the wild hills of the Brecon Beacons, taking in native botanicals and carving through the darkest crevices of Wales, her caves, tunnels, and mines. Cascave delves into the stories of these mysterious places captured within the minerality of the water, and air exchanged through oak casks, shining a light on the beauty to be found deep within Wales.
Cascave’s portfolio currently includes two gins: our Premium Dry Gin and our Cave-Aged Gin.
Cascave Premium Dry Gin is distilled using the London Dry method, cut back with water collected from a source deep within the iconic Dan Yr Ogof Caves themselves.
Cascave Cave Aged Gin is a matured gin: our Premium Dry Gin is, rested within port casks for 180 days in the heart of the Dan Yr Ogof Caves. It too is cut back with water collected from the caves. Cask-aging the gin within these cool depths allows the liquid to absorb more of the unique historical and geographical characteristics of the caves.
Cutting back the aged liquid with water from the caves adds another dimension and authenticity to the story. Our botanicals, selected from the hills of the Brecon Beacons, the landscape which originally inspired Cascave, have been chosen to complement the minerality of the water - the same water that has made its way through the landscape to collect underground. Our distillers have built a taste profile that encapsulates and combines both - to stunning effect.
We believe our Cave-Aged gin is the first such product on the market, expanding the developing cask-aged gin category and bringing added depth and dimension to the finished product.

about us
Cascave Gin, a family enterprise at its core, was born over a G&T (what else?). A mother and two daughters work together to bring to life our vision for Cascave Gin. Our shared admiration and fondness for the Brecon Beacons meant we were not short of inspiration when dreaming up this business.
Our ambition is to harness the magnificent natural landscape in a bottle of our gin, to create an authentic tasting experience that encapsulated the characteristics of our beloved landscape and mineral-rich waters.
PARTNERSHIP
Cascave would not exist without the support from the National Showcaves Centre for Wales. The Centre is open during the late spring until late summer season to visitors where you can witness Cascave’s gin maturing in the port casks deep within the historic caves.

Oak barrels
Deep within the caves, six oak barrels rest quietly for 180 days, ageing our gin in perfect, cool conditions. This natural environment enhances the character and complexity of every bottle of our award-winning Cave Aged Gin.
